Shaykh ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-Rājiḥī

Shaykh ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Rājiḥī (born 1361 AH) was born in al-Bukayriyyah in the Qaṣīm region, where he memorised the Qurʾān as a boy and studied under local scholars. He later moved to Riyadh and enrolled in the College of Sharīʿah at the Imam Muḥammad ibn Saud Islamic University.

He accompanied Imām ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Bāz from the time he arrived in Riyadh until the Shaykh’s death, and became a professor in the department of creed and contemporary sects. Alongside his teaching he has authored a number of works and supervised many master’s and doctoral theses, and he is known for his careful attention to matters of ʿaqīdah.
