Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān

Imām Ṣāliḥ ibn Fawzān al-Fawzān (born 1354 AH / 1935 CE) is among the most prominent jurists of the present day. He studied at the religious institutes and the College of Sharīʿah in Riyadh, taught for many years, and went on to serve as a member of the Council of Senior Scholars and of the Permanent Committee for Islamic Research and Iftāʾ.

He is known for his extensive teaching and writing across creed and fiqh, and for the steady stream of lessons, lectures, and fatāwā he continues to deliver. His works — particularly his concise explanations of classical texts — are widely studied by seekers of knowledge.
